Designed for students who need a second attempt. --- ## ECL – European Language Certificate URL: https://www.educan.cz/ecl/ Educan is a certified examination center for ECL (European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages). ### About the exam The ECL language exam evaluates the level of verbal and written communication of candidates in various life and professional situations at different levels of complexity. ### Language levels - **A2:** The user understands sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance (basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate through simple and routine tasks. - **B1:** The user understands the main ideas of clear standard input on familiar matters from work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling. Can write simple connected text on familiar or personally interesting topics. - **B2:** The user can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity with native speakers. - **C1:** The user can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts and recognize implicit meaning. Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. ### Exam structure The exam has 4 parts (reading, writing, listening, oral), each worth a maximum of 25 points (100 total).
